Is your Car Registration Suspended?

California Law requires owners of vehicles to provide proof of insurance for any vehicle operated or parked on California Roadways or Highways.

Vehicles excluded from providing evidence of financial responsibility

  • Trailers
  • Off-highway vehicles
  • Vehicles registered to a government entity (city, county, state, and federal)
  • Special equipment vehicles
  • Vehicles registered under planned non-operation status

Suspending your registration

If you fail to provide financial responsibility to the DMV, the DMV will suspend your vehicle registration. This means you will not be able to renew your registration. In order to have your suspension lifted you will need to do the following:

  • Provide proof of insurance
  • Pay a reinstatement fee of $14.00

If you decide to do the process yourself, it could take up to two weeks to complete. If your registration is current, this may not be a problem. However, if your registration is delinquent, then you will incur penalty fees until the suspension is removed.

Here’s how we can help

All In One Vehicle registration is electronically connected to the DMV. When you come to our office with proof of insurance and the $14.00 reinstatement fee, we can process your transaction for you the same day.

Here is how it works

You bring us the following:

  • Proof of insurance
  • $14.00 reinstatement fee
  • Vehicle registration card-showing proof of ownership

Once we have this information, we will pay your fees online, contact DMV and ask them to reinstate your registration.

If you do not have a credit card to pay your reinstatement fee, we will pay it for you and charge the fee back to you as part of your reinstatement fee.

What are the costs?

If your registration is due, and you register your vehicle with us, we will only charge you the *$29.00 service fee charged for registering vehicles. However, if you would only like to have the suspension removed, there will be a service fee of *$30.00.

What are the benefits of doing it with All In One?

  • Time
  • Convenience
  • No hassles

Most people are conditioned to using the DMV for car related documentation. However, when you use the DMV, you can expect to wait, and sometimes for hours. There are some people who turn to the Auto Club as an alternative.

But what the public doesn’t know, is that there are businesses out there like mine, All In One Vehicle Registration Service aka, that can perform the same services as the DMV and AAA with the exception of issuing driver’s licenses and or ID cards. What makes these businesses different is their knowledge. Most are staffed with former DMV employees who have a myriad of knowledge regarding DMV policy and procedures. Some of the businesses like mine are electronically connected to the DMV allowing your tags and plates to be issued on the spot.

But here’s where they stand out. Let’s say you have a truck in which you have been paying commercial fees for. You decided to make it a place where you can live and or camp out of. By law, your truck now meets the standards of a vehicle registration instead of commercial saving you hundreds in fees. However, you have no idea where to start. This where vehicle registration services come into play.

There are also situations in which we are able to save you money on other transactions such as Out of State Registrations. Most people guess at the information they need to put on the documentation costing them hundreds if not thousands of dollars. remember, we are not affiliated with the DMV, which allows us to help you. Of course  there are fees for our services. But what are you getting for that fee? Time, Knowledge and convenience.

As you can see, there are an array of services that vehicle registration businesses can provide. Try us out and let me know what you think.

Five things to do with your family this Labor Day weekend in Southern California

For most people, going to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Labor Day weekend is the first thought that comes to mind. For others, it’s going to the River at Lake Havasu, Arizona. The problem with these destinations is the traffic and the heat. Nothing like driving all the way out there just to turn around and come back and wait in 2 hour traffic knowing you have to work the next day. Let us not forget the longer we are on the road, the higher are chances are of running the intoxicated drivers.

I have compiled a list of five things you can do this Labor Day weekend to stay close to home.

  1. Have a BBQ in your own backyard or you can go to local community  or regional park.
  2. Ride bikes at the beach or take a local riverbed trail. In Los Angeles County, a good trail is the Rio Hondo Riverbed, which drops off at Seal Beach. In Orange County, you can take the Green River trail, which drops off at Newport Beach.
  3. Have a picnic at the beach. Arrive early to get good parking.
  4. Go fishing at the local regional park. Don’t forget: Fish food, your food, fishing gear and permits if required. Even if you don’t catch anything, the kids will still love it.
  5. Stay home and make pizza’s. You can go to Trader Joe’s and pick up some dough for about $1.47.  Cook them on the grill with a pizza stone. The kids can have a contest to see who makes the better pizza. You won’t be disappointed.

That’s it. So stay off the road as much as possible this weekend and avoid the drunks.
